We process your personal data with the purpose to respond to the inquiries you made through the contact form. Additionally, we process your personal data for statistical purposes and to improve the content of the website www.kustwacht.be.

The Coast Guard Secretariat processes your personal data. When we use the word ‘we’ in this privacy statement, it refers to the Coast Guard Secretariat. We always process your personal data in accordance with the terms stipulated in the General Data Protection Regulation.

 

Which categories of your personal data are processed?

Personal data are data that enable us to identify you as a natural person regardless of whether we actually do this. More in particular, we process the following data you provide us with when making use of the contact form on our website www.kustwacht.be: your name and your e-mail address.

 

Whom do we share your personal data with?

Your personal data are processed internally by our staff members only. We may transfer your personal data to one or more of our coast guard partners or to third parties, in case this is necessary to provide an answer to the question you posed. If you do not want us to do so, you can let us know by sending an e-mail to info@kwgc.be.

  

How long do we keep your personal data for?

We never retain your personal data any longer than strictly necessary to fulfil the objectives for which the personal data was originally collected. We retain your personal data as long as you make use of our services. After that, your personal data will remain stored for the duration in which we may need to account for services rendered. As a rule, the retention period for your personal data is five (5) years.

The Coast Guard Secretariat takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your personal data, taking into account current technology and the costs of implementation.

Regarding your personal data, you have the right to request access, rectification and erasure of your personal data.  In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent or object to us processing your personal data.
