Visit Simon Stevin

In September this year The Flemish Institute for the Sea (VLIZ) en Vloot (Fleet) presented a brand new oceanographic research vessel, Simon Stevin.
It can be used by scientists in the Belgian and adjacent coastal waters as well as in the Scheldt estuary.

The vessel boasts state-of-the-art equipment and moreover, it is said to be the 'most silent vessel of Europe' as regards underwater sounds. Curious to find out more? Visit the Simon Stevin on Sunday november 25th 2012. The vessel will be moored in Bruges,Albertakaai 926 from 12 to 5pm.
